The ReConnect Program offers unique federal financing options in the form of grants, loans, and combinations thereof to create or improve rural e-Connectivity for rural customers across America.
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022 (Public Law 107-103, the CAA) and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (Public Law 117-328, the CAA) provided USDA with Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS)/Community Project Funding (CPF) through the ReConnect Program. ReConnect CDS funding is provided in the form of 100% Grants and is used by recipients to deploy high-speed internet across the country.
To-date, USDA has invested in four ReConnect CDS projects. The investments represent $3.1 million in grant funding for high-speed internet. The funded service areas include a total of 2,113 households. Below are the details about the CDS recipients.
