Partnering with 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Colleges and Universities and Hispanic-Serving Institutions to ensure equitable participation in USDA programs and resources.

Awarding grants to higher education institutions and nonprofit and community-based organizations that provide outreach and technical assistance for underserved and veteran farmers, ranchers, and foresters, in owning and operating sustainable farms and ranches.

USDA Liaisons connect Tribal nations, and state and federal partners, universities and others with USDA programs and resources.

The Office of Partnerships & Public Engagement partners with private sector companies, higher education institutions, and youth-serving organizations to promote the role of school-based agricultural education in motivating and preparing young people to pursue careers in the agriculture, food, and natural resources systems.

Connecting military veterans with roles that keep America’s food supply safe and secure, preserve and strengthen rural communities, and restore and conserve the environment.

The Office of Partnerships and Public Engagement supports a wide variety of Presidential Congressional and Secretarial Initiatives.
